Pastor Glenn is someone who enjoys reading, listening to
music, watching movies, playing computer games and watching
and coaching sports.
But he enjoys God more than anything
else. His desire is to live faithfully according to the following statement in the
Westminster Catechism of Faith: the chief end of man is to
glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
One way that Glenn enjoys
God is by enjoying God’s people. As he spends time with
them and sees them grow in their relationship with Jesus,
Glenn delights to see them become more like Jesus.
Glenn has
been the pastor of Hope Baptist Church since May 2001.
Glenn was married to his wife Wendy in September 1991.
They
met as singles when they served God in Kenya with Africa
Inland Mission. Wendy taught sixth grade at a school for
missionary children while Glenn worked with a church.
After their service in Africa, they returned to North America
to get married and work in the U.S. home office of Africa Inland
Mission in New York. Glenn and Wendy have two children.
Glenn received his degree in journalism from the University
of North Carolina. Much of his time at the school was
spent with Campus Crusade for Christ. This ministry gave
Glenn the opportunity to develop his pastoral gifts and
sense a call to ministry. After graduating from North
Carolina, Glenn attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in
Deerfield, Illinois, where he received his master’s of
divinity degree.
